As someone who was brought up on yorkshire cricket with my late grandfather frank Wilson of Pudsey what a pleasure to se the master have his own website. My lasting memory will always be waiting for an autograph at the side of the old pavilion and been asked to bowl at the great man himself what a thrill as a 15 year old bowling to Geoff Boycott with my Grandfather present-Cheers Geoff.Alspo to know we support the same footie team.As a season ticket holder for 23 years the memories live long and will always do;and now as an ex-pat living abroad in Tipperary Ireland;the thing i miss most is the cricket. Thanks for the memories fiery-top man

Hey Geoffrey,
Nice to see your website. I am from Pakistan. I am waiting for your reviews on yesterdays match of Pakistan vs Newzeland.
Shame for top 9 batsman from Pakistan, Being Unable to put up any sort of score. But the last two batsmen showed some character.
Waiting for your say on this.
Regards,
Adeel Ijaz

Dear Geoffrey,
I would 100% join up in a HEARTBEAT. And a chance to speak to my greatest hero and inspiration via a telephone call from you would actually help keep me going as I battle chronic illness and surgery.
I would love to have a “Members Section” for this BRILLIANT WEB SITE with all the goodies that come with it.
Please get the Members area up and ready and I’ll be there to chat with you Geoff!!!!
Makes me excited… just like a little kid again.
God Bless
Dean Measor.

To get the honest and most fasinating insight into this special moment in sporting history you need to go no further than reading Geoff’s Number One best seller “BOYCOTT-THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY” It is so clever and well written it is like you are actually Geoff Boycott yourself as he retraces every emotion before-during-and after the great moment.
Please read the chapter (and the book) if any one hasn’t – you will find it so honest and real.
All the very best Geoff and all the very best to all your loyal fans.

Dear Geoff and all his loyal fans and supporters, this is why there should be a members area on the web site in my humble opinion…..
There are millions of loyal fans and supporters of Geoff Boycott and I am just one of them….
Without going to the stats list on this site and my Boycott books in the cupboard I can still reel off stuff like this which proves how much Geoff Boycott has been a part of my life….
bowled 142 times in 1014 innings
made 105 7 times
made 103 5 times
made 101 5 times
made 104 3 times
made 113 3 times
made 113 3 times
made 100 3 times etc,etc,
not out 162 times in 1014 innings
Geoff Boycott has scored 6 tons against Somerset, 5 of them not out….
Being unwell for alot of my life, I have found inspiration and enjoyed watching and supporting a great player and person.

Dear Geoff and all his loyal fans, got my stats WRONG there above, in post 7.
made 105 7 times!
made 103 5 times!
made 101 5 times!
MADE 115 4 TIMES!
made 104 3 times!
MADE 114 3 TIMES!
made 113 3 times!
made 100 3 times! etc, etc,
Must get my stats right on records like this, that’s the problem when you reel stuff off your head like that. But I still want to make sure I know what I’m on about…
by the way, Geoff was NOT OUT 115* twice… 1968 and 1978.
Anway with loyal fans world wide, a member’s section would be great. I only know stats on Geoff so I won’t win any quizzes on general cricket, but I don’t mind, I’l still enjoy it for what it is.
All the best Geoffrey and all his loyal fans
Dean Measor.

I wish more fans and cricket loving people would leave comments here for Geoff and his administration! Too much left on all his facebook tribute pages, appreciation society pages, etc,
Infact plenty and plenty of banter and opinions on face book and the like but not on this site and this board in particular where it is needed.
All the best everyone,
DEAN MEASOR.

Hello,
I wanted to take up comments that Geoffrey made on Bowl at Boycs referring to baseball. Have you watched it much? My work has taken me to the USA and Canada and (there being no cricket) I’ve watched and grown to love baseball, and I think it is much more subtle than sometimes thought. True it is not a game where defensive batting features, but it is not “all about getting a home run” – the ability to bat runs in with runners already on the bases, including sometimes to “sacrifice fly” involves considerable thought and tactics. Sometimes you need to play through the infield to get on base and set up the field for the big hitters that come after and so on. I could go on, but there really is a lot to the sport, and though I will always prefer cricket, baseball should not be dismissed as purely slogging. It isn’t.

I am a die-hard fan of my cricketing idol (Sir) Geoffrey Boycott – as even the great Sunil Gavaskar calls him in the commentary box at times.
I grew up to be a solid opening batsman and was dubbed the local Boycott many a time (which always made my day).
I have learnt so much by watching him bat, hearing him commentate and reading his books as well as watching his coaching video. he is the “Guru” I have never met.
I would love to join the members area at the first opportunity.
A humble fan,
Sincerely,
Arvind Joshi
