End of an era for Australia – Correction!

Glad you were all paying attention to the deliberate mistake! In fact it was a slip of the pen and my apologies to all my friends in India.
Of course India won 2-0 and any time you beat the Aussies can’t be bad. It was the previous series in 2004 which Australia won 2-1.

“The exceptions are the Ashes series which play to full houses because of the history and tradition and Tests in England where people will happily pay £95 at Lord’s and £105 at The Oval for a single day’s play!”
A lot of the people filling the grounds for these extortionate games are on corporate jollys: financial workers whose companies block buy tickets.
In the 70s and 80s, I could just about afford to get into a Headingley Test on my pocket money, and it’s a shame that this is denied to kids today.
